Eat the Path, vol. 5

I played all the good games on the SNES, it seems. Sometimes I wonder if I owed my good fortune to my Nintendo Power subscription, but the more i think about it, my paradigm-shifting experiences can be chalked up to seemingly chance encounters.

One of our good friends’ nephews (a rather strange and geeky fellow) recommended Final Fantasy 2, and it was a revelation. The husband of my fourth grade teacher told me to check out Secret of Mana, and I was a goner on RPGs.

My gaming history is full of such serendipities.
